One more sleep…

and Ill be flying back to the UK. Been here two weeks already and it’s gone slow and fast. We’ve been traipsing round Manhattan in the rain, visited the 24 hour Apple store, saw Star Trek in the cinema, took a train to Hyde Park and went on a hike, had Dim Sun in Chinatown, watched people hula-hooping in Central Park and visited Little Italy. Yesterday we went to the races at Belmont Park and today we went to Brooklyn to the Renegade craft fair, where I spent too much and bought beautiful things and got inspired to be more crafty and make things.

Missing catching up on others blog, but will be back home Tuesday (touch wood) so will get my fix then.

Oh, and some of the more random pictures- my mate’s flat got flooded, and the water hung off the ceiling like a giant nipple. These photos are for her boyfriend. The Nikes are for MrC.

PS If my plane has some malfunction and I am no longer, want you all to know I think you’re great. It’ll make me feel better in my final moments that I have said this. And even if I am still alive next week, I might not be the week after, ‘cos you can never know. So it’s good to tell people how you feel even when you’re not feeling your own mortality. Love yis. xxx

Auuugh. Don’t talk about stuff like that. What airline are you flying?? I think if something were to happen in a plane I would rather it be an explosion don’t you? Wait! I said not to talk about stuff like that!!! You will be fine! We will all be saying a prayer for you as you travel. Sounds like you have had the best time. Love these shots..cat on head :-) , sweatshop slave labour Nikes….flooded flat…been there done that. My partner at the time put a nail through our hot water pipes upstairs in the BA’s bedroom. The artex filled up just like your photo and it looked more like a cow udder than a nipple I thought!!! Boy I hate artex. Looking forward to you regular spots. Start planning your trip to Aus!

    BAHH! $350 bones for honking?!

That’s cool that you had some DQ in New York. I didn’t even know that had those up there. I worked at a Dairy Queen as a cook for almost 2 years when I was in high school. It made me stop eating fast food forever.

I’ve flown a few times but I was never able to get a window seat, which kind of bummed me out, until I finally got one on a flight from Arizona to California. My seat was right by the wing of the plane and I couldn’t help but notice more than a few giant bolts holding various parts of the wing together shaking like crazy. I sat there staring at them for the entire flight just imagining the wing flying off or something. But then again, I also imagined me jumping out of the plane when the wing flew off and landing in a huge container of pillows at a pillow factory run by foxy ladies in bikinis…

I wouldn’t worry though. I hear planes are safer than cars. I’m not sure where I heard that.. or if I’m just making it up, but it sounds good right?

24hr Apple store! Did you resist gadget indulgence??

Duuny worry about the planes. Our flight from Singapore was on the same variety that, um, disappeared over the Atlantic, and we made it. Freak lethal events will always happen, it’s God’s way of telling us he doesn’t exist.

I hope you have more fun with the jet lag than I have been having!

These comments about airplanes aren’t exactly what I want to hear when I have an upcoming overseas flight. I’ve flown several times before and never had any problems. You can’t help but get a little bit worried though. The trip to NY looks cool. The cat on the guy’s head looks like one of my cats, but mine wouldn’t go anywhere near crowds like that.

New York New York. Glad you enjoyed your trip. Everytime I go, I tend to go to the same places. I’m in a NY rut.

Here’s to keeping your plane aloft.

You’re a bit morbid aren’t you? Fear of flying?

Nikes are the best :D my favorite brand and those are some pretty sick looking Nikes you got right there. Of course, the 24 hour apple store is pretty cool too. If asked the question, “Mac or Pc?” its PC all of the way for me. :-P sorry hehe
